Whether you are a first time or seasoned buyer this process can and should be a very exciting time.

There are many reasons to buy your own home and it can be a wonderful feeling when you collect your new front door keys. Your life is now beginning its next chapter so take it as a challenge nd enjoy it.

For those just commencing this journey my best advice is before you go too far or take best advice from friends, family and neighbours that you seek financial guidance from a qualified adviser. The days when your income was multiplied by a certain denomination have long gone and you need to know what you can afford and what a lender will allow you to borrow. you also need to calculate the fees and costs involved throughout the transaction.

My best advice is ask people you trust for their recommendations. Never opt for cheap - as they say, you usually get what you pay for but likewise shop around.

We can recommend excellent and proactive local solicitors, conveyancers, mortgage and financial planning advisers, I only recommend those who are likeminded people, who are eager to progress the sale swiftly which results in less sales falling through.

Likewise if you find a property you like but there are works required we have in house contractors who are able to offer suggestions, guide prices, plan or/and design services.

Never feel pressurised into making a decision before you are ready to commit to a purchase and if you want to understand the basics of what occurs behind the scenes please read 'The Conveyancing Process' which is another tab on this website.
